Is a group class or private personal coaching better?
A group class follows a fixed schedule and syllabus, which is fine if you're comfortable with it. If you'd rather have individual attention, private personal coaching suits you better — it's built around your own goals, focuses on the challenges you want to improve, and runs on a flexible schedule agreed directly with the teacher.
How much do the sewing classes cost?
$300 for 12 hours of lessons at Tampines. Private 1-to-1 classes at your place or the teacher's place are at a different rate — WhatsApp +65 90931378 for details.
What is the role of Sewing Classes Singapore?
We act as the middle person to connect and match you with a suitable teacher who fits your requirements — so you can pursue a lifetime skill for your own benefit, or as an alternative way to start your own business.
What is the background of your teachers?
We recommend teachers with years of hands-on experience, matched to your requirements so you achieve the most for what you pay for.
I have no background in sewing. Can I still learn?
Yes — you don't need any prior sewing background to learn, as long as you're keen to learn.
Is there an age limit?
No. There's no age limit; anyone keen to learn is welcome, adults and kids alike. Our youngest learner was age 6 and our most senior was up to age 80.
How fast can I master sewing?
It depends on the individual. A fast learner can pick up the fundamentals within 9–12 hours of lessons and progress from there to a higher, professional level.
Do you offer SkillsFuture or WSQ certified courses?
We're not a SkillsFuture or WSQ course provider — and that's a deliberate choice. Certified courses follow a fixed syllabus and schedule set by the accreditation. We offer personal 1-to-1 coaching with a flexible syllabus and no fixed course, so every lesson is built around what you want to make and how fast you learn.
Do you follow a fixed syllabus?
We cater from the basics — for students with no experience — right up to professional level such as gowns and wedding dresses. The syllabus is flexible and customised if you're aiming at a specific garment or craft, like bags, laptop covers, iPhone cases or doll dresses.
What materials do I need to prepare?
Nothing for the first class — the teacher will guide you through. You can use the sewing machine at the teacher's place. You're required to get your own basic tools (tracing paper, chalk, thread, needles and so on) and fabric — you can buy these from the teacher or use your own existing ones.
What if I can't make a scheduled lesson?
Just inform the teacher in advance, since the schedule is arranged directly between you and the teacher.
Can I get a refund for uncompleted lessons?
There's no refund for uncompleted lessons once the full fee has been paid to the teacher — unless you're medically unfit to continue and can provide an MC as supporting document.
Is there a trial lesson?
Sorry, no. We only attend to serious students who genuinely want to learn.
I'm interested — how do I register?
WhatsApp 90931378 to confirm your preferred time slot availability for class scheduling, then make the down payment accordingly to secure it.
Tampines is too far for me. Any alternatives?
Yes. You can arrange a private 1-to-1 class at your place or the teacher's place, or join online sewing classes and learn from video at your own pace — anytime, anywhere.
